Her father is B.B. Monfrank, a musician from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Her mother is Masako Matsumoto, an artists who makes dolls from Uozu, Toyama. After graduating high school, she attended Mesar House Music School in Tokyo, specializing in vocals. She began to sing a play piano, focusing initially on traditional music from the Congo, an then branching out to jazz, soul, and more. She has continued to use her powerful singing voice to charm audiences both in her native Toyama prefecture and throughout Japan. In addition to her singing, she also proactively works to hold international events to bridge the gap between her father’s home country and Toyama, seminars for foreign residents in Toyama.
